2000 Hyundai Elantra ticking noise after low oil

I recently sprung a leak in the valve cover gasket, and was not aware of this until the engine was a little more than a quart low. Now the engine is making a ticking noise synchronous whith the RPM's. Would this be a problem with the camshaft and lifters, or cylander bearings?
