1999 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

The front passanger door was open as the car was backing up the inside of the door hit a post and pushed the door forward . the door now does not close. their is a 1/4 inch gap between back door and front. how do i readjust door to seal properly?

Thank you for the donation.

The impact has caused the door itself to go out of alignment and you would need to check the door hinge area for damage.

Most probably the door needs some panel beating to get it back into shape before you are able to adjust it to close properly.

Otherwise the door would have to be replaced.

Hope the frame pillar has not been damaged.
