1998 hyundai elantra bought from original owner with 34,000 miles. drove it a few days and the airbag light came on. Trieid to scan for an airbag code and could not communicate. Took it to the hyundai dealer and they tried 3 different computers and had no communication. They recommended I buy an airbag module. I did(a used one) and it changed nothing. Now the dealer says it will cost around 600 dollars to track this down. I don't have this kind of money- any help will be appreciated.

Hi
With no communication it is impossible to pinpoint fault. Dealer would have to check every module , sensor ,wiring ,clockspring etc. and that would cost.
The moduel you replaced was it in steering wheel? Turn key on does SRI light flash 6 times?
Let me know
Thanks for donate
