Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The timing belt broke at freeway speed. We replaced the timing belt and tried to start it. It had compression the first few cranks and then none. Is it possible that there is damage to the head or is there some thing that I am missing? What other possibilities are there?

Hi
Engine is interference which means when belt brakes valves get bent. Need to remove head and replace bent valves.
