The airbag light came on AFTER the battery AND alternator were BOTH replaced back in January of 2008. I have not been able to afford to figure this out since nothing else seems out of the ordinary and the airbags have not popped open on us or anything yet! The battery was replaced first, the airbag light did not come on, the battery was not the problem, the car died again, and we had it brought to a garage who changed the Alternator with a rebuilt Alternator and the light was on when I picked up the car. The mechanic said it was on when he got the car and it would cost more money to figure out why its on. I could not afford to pay more money at the time but I need to reinspect the car and it may not pass with this light on. Anyone know what may be causing this and do you think its expensive? Thank you.

Sincerely;

Josie

Hi there,

You will need to run a scan to check for the set fault code that has activated the light, do this first.
