My car often gives me crank but no start problem, but then it starts after some time if I let it sit for five minutes or so. Earlier it use to be once in a month problem, then it got once in a week, and now it is happening more frequently. I am suspecting that the fuel pump is gradually going bad. However, I do want to diagnose the exact problem, rather than just blindly changing the part. Question is, how do I diagnose fuel pressure/pump/regulator or filter issue with this car, when I am unable to locate any schrader valve in the fuel lines? Is there diagnosing guide I can follow for this car model?
Now on further researching on Hyundai customers reporting same problems with other models, it came out to me that bad IAT sensor can cause the same problem. But I am not sure where is this located in my car. I am really looking for a step by step troubleshooting guide to diagnose this intermittent hard start problem ? Please help.
