Electrical problem

i can only get my brights to work my rear lights and one of the front lights will not turn on i only have break lights. also my dashboard will no longer light up unles i repeatedly turn it on and off. i think there might be a short somewhere because now my speakers are giving out as well... i was advised to get rid of it but i love my car and want to know if i could fix this myself
