I bought a repair manual from the dealer, it is a very poor one. I have tried to remove the front calipers and when I try to take the top bolt out brake fluid starts to come out. The manual mentions that it may have to be plugged to prevent lose of fluid. I have replaced disc brakes on other vehicles and have never had this problem. How to I remove the caliper mounting bolts.

you are removing the wrong bolt. look a little bit higher for the caliper slide bolt.
