Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl 90000 miles

My accent literally threw a spark plug out of my engine. It will start if that spark plug is not in it but will die if you try to put it back. the threads were stripped. What would cause it to do this and what can I do to repair it? Is it a possible compression problem? Your response will be highly appreciated.
