Transmission problem
2001 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual
I have an accent with 120,000 miles. It runs great but will pop out of 5th gear with no warning. I have no problem shifting back into 5th (or any other gear). I cannot pin down the problem to any one action (such as applying gas, slowing down, etc...). It seems to happen more often the longer I drive. For instance, during a 60 mile drive on a highway, I may go the first 40 miles with no problem but the last 20 miles may result in 2 or 3 "pop outs".
