How do I adjust the handbrake since I have already changed the rear brake shoes. The rear brakes on this model Hyundai have drum brakes whilst the front are disc brakes. I changed all front and rear brakes but need to adjust the hand brake to more effective braking to hold car when parked or stopping at traffic lights on hills.
Currently the hand brake holds the car okay but I cannot trust it as it is not very effective unless the gear is in place to help it on hills. This is not a good idea seeing at times there needs to be a hand brake for hill stops at traffic lights etc. I've adjusted the handbrake as per. The hand brake clicks only one, but the back wheels are not locked (car still moves easily) Thank you fellow members for considering my enquiries.
