I have a manual window that is stuck in the down position. I've tried to remove the door panel but the crank for the window is in the way and I can not seem to get it to come off. I am afraid if I pull too hard on it that it will break.
History: for the past few months the window has been difficult to close. It would open without any problems. I would have to "help" it up (like it was falling off the track).
Is there something that I am missing that will help me repair this. In addition, once I finally get the door panel off...what should I expect to find? Is there a way to fix this issue?
Right now I have a black plastic bag over the window since it looked like it may rain when I drove in. I really don't want to drive in the rain w/o the window up! That would be a wet/messy experience I would love to avoid.

I greatly appreciate any help/advise that you can give me.

Regards,
Alex

Believe it or not, there is a window crank removal tool, it removes the clip in the crank. Wha it needs depends on what you find broken or worn out...
