I am getting this knocking sound and realized that it is the HVAC door actuator. I am looking for a diagram that shows the location of the actuator so I can replace it. Any help would be amazing.

That sounds like the recirculation actuator turn the recirculation on and off and see if the noise changes?

I tried that this morning. I turned it off for 5 minutes and turned it back on and it continues to make the same knocking sound.

Have you tried the other controls to see if the noise changes temp control or where the air flow goes?

The only time it will start making noise is when I turn on the car, switch the AC on and off, when I switch to max AC

It's the one located directly behind the glove box. I can look underneath and see it jumping when it makes the noise

Here's a video of the actuator jumping in place and I'm recording direct where the passanger feet would be in the very back behind the glove box

I checked to make sure it was properly secured and all the screws are tight. I think there's a gear on the inside of the actuator that is striped.

$38 with a lifetime warrantly. It didn't take me longer than 15 minutes to fix. I removed the glove box in one piece. It was fixed by clips. Then unscrewed the 2 screws and fastened the new one. Now it's working like a champ!! Thanks guys for your help.

I’m having basically the same issue with my 15’ Fiesta se. I was having the clicking sound a few months ago but it stopped. Now I only have heat. It makes no difference what temperature I set the climate control to it blows hot air.

DOUBLED25 Could you please use this link to ask this as a new question?
https://www.2carpros.com/questions/new
Please include your vehicle information and if you have the manual heater controls (turn a dial for temp) or the automatic (set a desired temp and it does the rest) system.
In both cases the temperature control actuator is between the firewall and heater core so the dash has to be removed the cooling system drained and the A/C recovered then the HVAC case removed to get to it.
