Engine making humming noise

The engine has an annoying hum, is this normal?
Also, when the steering wheel is turned, the hum gets louder.
It is kind of embarrassing!
I cannot find the power steering fluid to check it, but I am thinking it is probably low?
The engin sounds good, aside from the humming.

You assume correctly. You need to check the Power steering fluid and if low, locate the leak and repair it.
I can't find a picture of the filler but if it's a non-turbo, it has a remote reservoir but if it is a turbo engine, the reservoir is attached to the pump.
