Hi, my wheel bearing needs to be replaced. I have tried two different brands and they both fit with a little wobble. I tried the one's from Autozone, Duralast 512198 and Moog 512428. Neither one fits snug and they're both supposed to be compatible with my car. Please help. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Shannon

Are you installing a hub and bearing assembly or is it a bearing with a pressed in bearing race ?

Have you tightened the axle nut before checking it? That is what tightens everything up.

Yes, and are you torquing down the axle nut?

I did tighten the nut before checking it. Someone mentioned that it could fit different depending on if you have ABS brakes or not.

It is probably not tight enough. the axle nut pulls the bearing races together.

Hi Shannon,

If you didn't take the steering knuckle completely off and have the bearing and hub pressed in by a garage or some with a specialized tool for pressing them in you most likely do not have it tight enough, it takes quite a bit of torque to get the hub and bearing completely in place without special tools and equipment. Also, were you able to get the Snap Ring back into place?
