Hub Assembly

You're about to perform a lot more work than necessary if you're trying to remove the hub. Most mechanics have a special set of tools that allow them to press out the old bearing and press the new one in right on the car. The job takes less time than when trying to support the assembly on a hydraulic press. You will be costing yourself more money in the long run if you're going to be charged by the hour, then you'll need to know all the critical torque specs, and since you disconnected things at one of the alignment adjustments the car is going to have to be aligned too.

I replaced a lot of pressed in wheel bearings and I always did them on the car. I could do three different cars in less time than it took for one other mechanic to pull the hub off, use the hydraulic press, then have me realign the car. Save yourself the grief and just let your mechanic do the job.
