How to increase fuel efficiency

Hello, I bought the car listed above with the L package recently. When I purchased it from showroom its meter showed 19 KM/L. But when I start driving it it gradually reduce and stick on 10-11 KM/L. I inspect it with a mechanic and he changes the spark plugs and air filter and reset the last drive trips from odometer and start driving it
for my amaze, it goes on 18 after a few minutes drive and mechanic told me it will go up and maintain like this if you always run it on eco (the leaf showed in meter).

But I do not know why my odometer showing 14-15 KM/L as I always maintain a eco mode (full leaf) in meter and low on speed paddle. A few one told to me use STP complete Fuel System Cleaner (http://www.stp.com/products/fuel-additives/complete-fuel-system-cleaner/) it will increase the fuel efficiency and try to use it once you fill the tank. Someone refereed your side and ask me to place your issue here for complete guidance.

Please help how to increase fuel efficiency as this was the main reason to buy a 660 car.

There are three big factors in fuel mileage that you can control. How you drive, where you drive and how you load the vehicle.

How you drive - Easy on the throttle, anticipate stops, try to avoid using the brakes and reducing speed being the more critical items.

Where you drive - Long drives on a highway at a constant prudent speed = higher mileage.
Short drives around town in stop and go traffic = Much lower mileage.

Load - Heavy loads = lower mileage.

Most of the dump it in the tank and get more mileage items do nothing in a modern vehicle, except lighten your wallet by the weight of the money you spend on them.
Driving habits alone are the biggest way to gain mileage.

Another big item - The mileage they list on new cars is under perfect conditions and sometimes has a bit of unique math tossed in as well.

So the conclusion is, this is all fake that 660 gives higher mileage. Things you mentioned will always a win win situation in any car. This is not the answer which I expected.

Not fake, just not that many people will get that mileage. When they are tested for mileage
everything they can do to get the best mileage possible is done. Everything is done to get that vehicle to register the best mileage it possibly can. As for the economy number that was on it when you bought it. Most of those store an average of the calculated mileages up to that point an the tank of gas it had in it. I can easily get the mileage computer in my car to show 32 mpg on a car that should average about 26 mpg. All that needs to be done is to run it gently and let it coast a lot. That will inflate the number, it will be a lie as it cannot actually get that mileage but if I was selling it, that number sure would look good.

There are tons of gimmick items sold daily that claim to increase mileage or power. 99% of them either do nothing or worse they do damage.
The 1% that work, are doing the routine maintenance and keeping the vehicle in good shape along with learning how to drive the car for better mileage.
Other than that there are no magic tricks to mileage.

Sorry it is not the answer you thought you would get, but it sounds like you already know how to do most of the things needed to get mileage.
