Just changed back brakes never did that with an EPB system so i got the caliper piston to go in however it won't reengage so i can apply parking brakes and now the regular brake feels soft and hard to hold got to press down all the way to stop. Is there a manual way to fix this issue?

Hi,

To replace the brake pads on this vehicle, the vehicle needs to be in brake pad replacement mode. I'm not sure how you got the caliper depressed without doing this.

Regardless, the best way to do it is with a scan tool that can communicate with the brake module. However, it can be done without one.

If you look below, it explains how to get it into brake pad replacement mode without a scan tool. You may want to follow through with this procedure and hopefully, it will properly reset.

Let me know if this helps or if you have questions.

Take care,

joe
