I replaced the front struts with generic ones and now I get a "service suspension system" warning on the dash display. I would like to know how to disable this message. Thanx!

The "Service Suspension System" warning message is triggered when the vehicle's air suspension system detects a fault or difference in height between the front and rear of the vehicle. This warning is an indication that there might be an issue with the suspension system, and it's essential to address it properly rather than simply disabling the warning message. Ignoring the problem could lead to handling issues, poor ride quality, or potential safety concerns.

When you replaced the front struts with generic ones, it's possible that the suspension system is not reading the correct height, causing the warning message. Here are a few steps you can take to address the issue:

Check for Proper Installation: Double-check that the front struts were installed correctly and securely. Ensure that all mounting hardware and connectors are properly attached.

Inspect the Wiring and Connectors: Examine the wiring and connectors related to the front struts and suspension system. Look for any signs of damage or loose connections.

Reset Suspension System: Some vehicles have a procedure to reset the suspension system after a component replacement. Check the vehicle's owner's manual or service documentation for any specific reset procedure.

Scan for Trouble Codes: Use an OBD-II scanner or a specialized suspension system scanner to check for any stored trouble codes related to the suspension system. These codes can provide valuable information about the specific issue.

Verify Compatibility: Ensure that the generic struts you installed are compatible with the vehicle's air suspension system. Some vehicles require specific struts designed for air suspension applications.
