How to change the crankcase ventilation valve

I notice smell of engine oil when I on the car heater, and also my car dash indicates insufficient engine oil.

If you are getting a burning oil smell and are low on oil I would recommend you check for an oil leak. The most likely leak will be the valve cover gasket since it is usually a common leak with most manufactures.

If oil is leaking from the cover it will spill over to the exhaust which will then give you that burning oil smell. Your vehicle does not really have a pcv valve. It has an oil separator with pcv hoses and a check valve. See image below.

If the oil separator passages are plugged up it will cause blue smoke to come out the tail pipe. If it has an internal leak it will post running to lean codes and when you remove the oil dipstick or oil cap you will feel a lot of vacuum. A slight amount of vacuum is normal. Hope this helps.

Sir, I noticed my spark plug chambers 1 & 2 is soaked in oil so I will replace the valve cover gasket seals.I hope it recifies the oil leak.Thanks once again.

Sir,please can you tell me exactly where is this check valve located.Is it under the intake manifold .Do I have to remove the air box with the MAF and the intake manifold.Please let me know.
