What are the two hoses that come from the cover of the engine?

I am not sure, but I think this hose was disengaged because when i lifted the cover off of the engine it was just there loose. I cleared the code 118001 with my OBD after I reconnected it and the code has not returned at this point. I would be amazed if that was it because the mechanic was going to charge me almost $1,300.00 for some bogus made up stuff when all he did was pull the hose off. Shady real shady.
