Last year i had two small coolant hoses bust so i replaced them, and i was being stupid and used those worm clamps instead of the tension clamps they came with. Recently they've been looking like they are leaking. The hoses look wet near the part where they connect, and if you look closely you can see steam coming from the ends of the hoses. Would you recommend i find some new tension clamps and replace the hoses once again? I just don't really know what to do here. Any advice with help. Thanks as always.

Hello,

I would look at just tightening the hose clamps up a little bit first and see if that works for you. Sometimes the worm gear hose clamps [which I prefer] will work themselves loose a notch or two over time. The Original Equipment Manufacturer [OEM] hose clamps work great, but are a pain to get out of and back in place, and if they get even the slightest bit bent, they loose all there clamping integrity. Try tightening them and get back to us with how everything turns out. We can go from there, if needed.

Thanks,
Alex
