New clutch in 1998 Prelude not Catching! Please Help!

I have a 1998 honda prelude that i've owned since 99. It has 143K and i just replaced the clutch. (along with a tune up) Now the new clutch doesn't fully engage, i can shift into any gear easily, but most of the time, my clutch isn't catching, sometimes it does and drives just fine. could it be that i have to break the clutch in still? someone said that it could be my master/slave which needs to be replaced.

Any help would greatly be apprecitated! Thanks!

You replaced what all in the process? Bearing? Clutch? Pressure plate? Sounds as though the throwout bearing is not properly installed. There is pressure against the pressure plate not allowing the clutch to engage.

replaced all three, I had the work done at a tune shop, they specialize in Honda and really seem to know thier stuff. i'm not trying to modify the car, but they mentioned that it is prob the hydraulics ie master/slave.

If it is indeed the throwout bearing, is this easy to fix? Is this something that should have been done correctly the first time so i can avoid paying labor again? i'm bringing my car back in tomorrow, 7/3/07.

I don't see how it can be sticking due to a bad master or slave. Usually the slave and master are tasked with pushing on the pressure plate to release the clutch and not the other way around. The main way a slave or master go out is leaking and causing the pedal to fall to the floor. The hydraulics become so weak they can not push on the plate.
