front spring rubbing,honda prelude

I have a 1992 honda prelude si 2.3L,124000 miles.question is,front drivers side,coil spring is rubbing against shock absorber,making this clanking noise.should this be fixed asap.thanks

I would venture that if it is rubbing it is very weak and not doing its job. It could even be broken, check it very closely. Either way I would replace it.
