I have a 1993 Honda Prelude 1.8 engine, 150,000 miles, recently after driving the car I noticed that the brake lights remained on after I exited the vehicle. After looking on the floor board, I noticed several pieces of broken plastic, which appear to have come from the brake pedal sensor, which caused the switch to remain open. I immediately tried to start the car and it wouldn't turn over. The battery has plenty of power, everything lites up.......but starter doesn't activate. The car is a 5-speed.....I've checked the clutch fluid and fuses.....any Ideas...no problems prior to the brake lights staying on. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Replace the broken part and let us know. I think that will do it. Make sure that the clutch neutral switch is not affected as well. It will not start if that is broken too.
