I have a 94 Prelude, with an h22 swap (done 4 years ago) its a 5 speed, and has roughly 115k miles on it.
I was driving around town, and my car died as I was going about 20mph slowing down at a stop light.
I've replaced the battery, ignition coil, and spark plugs not even 1 week ago. My distributor is less than 6 months old.
I hear the main relay clicking when I turn the key, and when the check engine light turns off. After my car died, there are no check engine lights, my dash lights work fine.
What could make the car just crank and not start.
I hear the fuel pump prime, and when I loosened the bolt on the fuel filter and turned the key, gas poured out.
Any and all help will be useful.
Why won't my car start?

i haven't checked the alternator, but could an alternator just crap out while driving and make the car die?
My car won't start at all...I have fuel but no spark.
I pulled a plug and stuck it in a plug wire, then layed it next to my windshield wiper arm and tried to start my car...there was no spark.

Guess what brother it could be your alternator ..i just called a mechanic and they said that the alternator is the problem..because the alternator helps charge the battery up.. so yeah ..the cheapest is $300 nz to get it fixed bud.

when you start the car , does it make a clicking noise? if thats the case then yeah the alternator needs replacing. or the belt that makes the alternator move.. which is cheaper to fix..

when I get home from school later today, i'm gonna pull the alternator, and the starter and take them to the parts store to have them tested. I'll keep you guys posted.
When I try to start the car, it just cranks but won't fire up, because i have no spark.

well my alternator tested good at the parts store, and i was thinking...my car wouldn't even crank over if the starter was bad.
I'm almost chalking this whole situation up to some faulty wiring somewhere because everything that should give me spark is in good condition and there's no spark

not sure if anyone cares, but my auto tensioner on the timing belt failed, and the timing belt jumped teeth.

I pulled the valve cover, my exhaust cam gear arrow is pointing up, while the intake cam gear arrow is pointing down.

When I turn the crank over by hand, neither of my cam gears move at all.
Just thought I'd share.
