1999 Honda Prelude Transmission dont work properly

Hi there, i have a 99 honda prelude semi automatic and dont know what seems to be the problem. this is the way my car works, its starts regular like any other car but once it changes gears to seccond or third the car nutrulaises and no gear seems to be kicking in and my car stays in neutral. it already has a tune up and still it wont work. Now it wont even go in reverse. They tell me it might be a n electrical problem or the tranny is burned. I dont know who to belive so plz help me out.
