1994 Honda Prelude How to valve adjustment?

Hi

The engine type are 2.2L f22a1 non vtech 16 valve. Can anyone show me step by step how to do valve adjustment on this type of engine?

Hi 94honda,

Have you any experience with adjusting valve clearances?

I presume you do so I will only explain the valves layout.

Take note that the adjustment should be done with a cold engine ie. below 30c.

With Piston No 1 at TDC and valves for cylinder 4 overlapping, the valves to be adjusted are Inlet 1, 2, 3, 4 and exhaust 1,2 5, 6.

Turn crankshaft 360 degrees and adjust the remaining valves.

Note : The inlet valves are not easy to adjust and requires valve adjustment tools, not just any ring spanner will do.
