OK, here it is. I am reasonably mechanically inclined, but this car is really getting to me.
It is a 1988 Honda Prelude 2.0s, with the b20a3 engine, recently replaced(before I owned it).
It starts fine sometimes, but while it is idling, it drops to almost 200rpm, then back up. Also, it stutters. not a random stutter, you can almost predict it. About every 10 sec. or so, it stutters for a second then resumes normally. I have replaced the plug wires, plugs, dist. cap, rotor button, catylytic conv., check the valve clearance, the only thing left is the carbs.
Acceleration is fine, I think the trans. needs some help, but it is fine for now. I just want it to idle correctly.
What do you think?
