1988 Honda Prelude how to bleed the clutch line

i replaced the clutch master cylinder in my 88 prelude, and tooped the resovoir off. i tried using even a pressure bleeder and still nothing but air was comming out, and the resovoir barely went down at all. what should i do? is there a special trick to bleeding the line?

Hi there,

It is always a good idea to bleed the master cyl on the bench first. But if already fitted, that is not a problem. Top up fluid, depress clutch and back off pipe at master cyl. lock up when fluid ?air is expelled, then lift foot. Wait 2-3 sec and repeat. do this about 4-5 times. then repeat at slave cyl. don't let reservoir fall below 1/4 full this should bleed all air from system.
