I had the transmission in my car rebuilt 2 weeks ago. When I picked it up I noticed the car was vibrating a lot when in park or when stopped at a light. I drove it for a few days and it got a little better but was still vibrating I took it back and the mechanic looked at it, he said the exhaust pipe was rubbing up against something and that he had moved it into place and should be better. I didn't drive it with him again because I took his word for it and supposed it was fixed but still felt the vibration, especially when the car stops, it gets a little better when I turn the air conditioner off and also if I put it in neutral, otherwise it feels like an old clunker. I took it back once again and they said they can't find anything wrong with it. Can you help me out please, I am really frustrated because this is not the same car I had before! By the way, the transmission shifts wonderfully, so that is not the problem. I am thinking maybe they didn't put something back the right way.

Ask your mechanic to check the front engine mount, it could be torn or they might have forgot to connect the vacuum hose.
