New battery 2 months ago. All electrical systems checked out OK at that time. Parked the car at the airport for 4 days. Returned to a totally dead battery. No lights or systems were accidentally left on. Took it to the dealer. Service person told me leaving a car in the sun, even for 4 days (temps were in the 70's) can completely drain the battery. What???? Any logical explanation other than perhaps a defective battery?

just ran into the same issue with my Pilot 03... was parked at the airport for 2 weeks and came home to totally dead battery. I have a relatively new battery, less than 2 years, which I replaced because my kids killed it by always leaving their individual reading lights turned on. But I learned to shut off the main power switch and always leave that off on extended stays like this one (confirmed that I did so). My only theory is that the alarm got tripped and drained the battery during the 15 days it was parked.
Mine was parked inside a deck... but that "parked in the sun" theory sounds whacked anyway. Did you ever get to the answer on your problem?

Hi hondajunkie, hondajunkie,

There should be a battery drain somewhere and you should get it checked.
