2000 Honda Passport Long time to start but eventually start

The 2000 Honda passport takes on long time to start but eventually starts. Sometime when warn starts fine. The dealer tells me that it is the fuel pressure regulator. What do you think ?

Hi databiz,

It can be the fuel pressure regulator but this item seldom fails.

If starting is difficult after resting for a while and performance is reduced from previous, the more likely fault would be a pressure leak along the fuel lines. It could be intank of which there would be no tell tale signs. You would need to remove the fuel pump to check.
