Hi there.
Any ideas on why my auto transmission clunks when its changing gears? It also creeps forward at the lights when in drive. The oil is red and at right level. The tranny seems to work ok. Theres no clunking sounds noticeable on the highway. It changes up and down without any problems, however, it may do so again as I am slowing to a halt.
The car has just passed a warrant of fitness from a vehicle testing station so I dont believe any loose running gear would be causing the clunking. The sound is like what you might hear if your rear pinion bearing needs replacing. With thanks for any comments.

Try checking the engine mounts, some clunking on older honda's is normal. I have one now doing the same thing. Try checking the drive axles, loose cv joints maybe. Let me know, thanks for visiting 2carpros.com
