Honda with problem

My car is acting up. Cold starts it runs fine, but once it gets warm it wants to start acting up.A friend of mines told me it was the hot temp censor any ideas

Warm it starts acting up? Like what? Are you inferring that it doesn't want to start as easily once it is warm or what?

Yes , it runs fine but if I drive for awhile and shut the car off it does'nt want to start without me putting my foot on the gas pedal and when it does finally start it's very sluggish as if it wants to cut back off. It start shaking and dies out sometimes but once I restart the car after a few seconds it runs fine again
