First let me say thanks for asking this question. I find so many just start cutting and do damage to things doing so. Now first you need to get the T-connector. Drawtite number 118438. Then if you go to there web site and then go to t-connectors and then look up honda it will bring up a page with the part numbers for honda click on your vintage and then it will bring up the connector t-connector you need then you will see a pdf file labeled instullation instructions.
