1995 Honda Odyssey fuel pump

I took straps off of fuel tank to lower tank down so I could change the fuel pump, but the tank wouldn't lower, It felt solid against the body. I dont see anything else holding the tankother then the straps? thanks for any help you can give me, Edward Griffin.
