Car won’t startup using push button and I get following error codes
However, the aircon and multimedia player turn on but won’t get ignition lights and won’t get started instead the car keeps asking to press brake and push start button.

Error Codes:
U0155 F-CAN Malfunction
U12AD EPP(IMA)-CAN Malfunction
U0293 Malfunction (ECM-PCM-Motor)

Solutions I have tried are below:
Replacing new push start button.
Replacing 12v main battery.
Replaced the remote battery.
Also confirmed that when pressing brake pedal the rear brake lights turn on.

See the attached video

The car listed above is an AWD, GP-6.

Here is what is said about the codes:

U0155: This code indicates that there is a communication problem between the vehicle's Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Instrument Panel Control (IPC) module.

U12AD: As of my knowledge cut-off in September 2021, the U12AD code isn't recognized as a standard OBD-II fault code.

U0293: This fault code indicates a communication problem with the Battery Energy Control Module.

Thanks for the video and images. I would first check all fuses when the system is on. This guide can help.

You may have a MICU that needs to be replaced. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Thank you for your reply.

I called in a technician from Honda, and he disconnected the main speedometer grip and tried starting the engine and it started

After that he turned off the engine quickly and reconnected the grip and tried started it again and it started. Then he turned the engine off and removed the error code with standard procedure with the scanner device

He suggested that the meter is faulty and need replacement and I don’t buy that.

Before preforming any of the things above he checked all the fuses which were all in healthy condition

What else do you suggest other than replacing the MICU after above diagnosis?

I would also like to add the following comments.

For the first time when the problem came, I disconnected the negative battery terminal for few minutes, but nothing happened.

Then left it disconnected for several hours may by be 2-3 hours and then reconnected it and the car started.

After 10 days the issue came up again and disconnecting the battery negative terminal and reconnecting it after 5-10 seconds the car started with no errors (may be error came and I reset the battery terminal again - don’t remember)

For the final time I didn’t try much and called the technician from Honda and what he did I have mentioned previously in my reply.

It sounds like the MICU, or the IPC is going out and needs to be reset to work, we should do a CAN scan to see which codes come up, you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a guide to help us get started:

and

Please go over these guides and get back to us.

Hey OP,

I have this exact same issue.

I have completed all of the steps you have outlined as well.

Issues is still there and the car is not wanting to start.

I’m unsure where the Speedometer Grip is ?

Can you let me know how you resolved this issue in the end please.

Thanks

I don't know if the same codes came up, they didn't get back to me, but I believe the gauge cluster was bad and needs to be replaced. Do you have the same codes?

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your reply :)

Yes, same codes and issue.

I removed the cluster sprayed contact cleaner on the socket and pin and re-plugged.

I tried starting while the cluster was removed. Didn’t start.

The car is currently with a shop, hopefully they can resolve.
