noisy ac compressor

I have 1993 honda DEL SOL 1.5L.
with 125K miles. when i turn my AC OFF it maked lots of noise but when i turn it ON there is no noise there. i have always seen opposite like when you turn AC ON it makes noise. noise comes from AC compressor area of engine. is it bad compressor?

hi, i have a 95 eg8 honda civic ... wen i put on my ac... it runs ok and cools and everything but makes ah loud screecthing sound on the outside ..... could someone tell me if my compressor needs to check ? :?:
