1994 Honda Del Sol Front Wheel Drive Manual n/a miles

my shifter feels loose and it grinds when i try to put it in the first 3 gears and once they're in most of the time they wont disengage

Your shifter being loose is most likely caused by faulty shifter bushings down by with the shifter linkage meets the shifter rod. There is a bushing kit you can purchase from honda that can solve that sloppy feel.

If you cannot get into a gear or disengage a car, you may have a hydraulic clutch system failure of some sort. You may have air in the system or a faulty slave or master cylinder. If your hydraulic system is faulty, your clutch will not disengage , thus it will be very difficult for you to get in and out of gear.
