I have noticed that the floor on the drivers side seam to be getting wet under the floor matts and the carpet is wet when it rains.
i purchased this second hand and I know it had an accidient where the hood and front grill have been replaced.
Can someone tell me what or where to look for a possible area where the water may be entering the car?
many thanks

I would first get the car off the ground, put on stands, and inspect the underside metal and seams for any damage, if none, then inspect the hood weather stripping for missing material.

It may also be necessary to remove the plastic cowl under the wipers and look for any damage to seams or metal.

I noticed the water when the car is parked outside in the rain so I will look under the wipers as suggested.
Is there any thing else
i really dont think it is coming from under the car.
could it be anyother place?

I would think that since the hood was recently repaired, that would be the likely source.

I would clean the weather stripping on the hood, and clean the metal on the car it comes in contact with, then put a light coat of heavy grease on the entire weather strip. Shut the hood and you should see an even strip of grease on the contact area. Any area that has no or an uneven coat of grease is probably where the water intrusion is coming from.

If the hood contact area has an even coat of grease, then I would remove the wiper arms and the plastic cowl and inspect the area under the wiper mechanisim for cracks in the seam sealant.
