I really appreciate your answer in the past for my problem about the lock. Now I have another problem with the radio system. It occurred yesterday morning, when I went to a clinic, I left the head lights on. The battery was dead. I did not realize this until I tried a couple of times for starting. Later, I had to call AAA for jumping up. After the car was jumped, I discovered the radio screen showed " COdE 1" , I tried to hit the AM/FM, it did not work. When I hit the other buttom like prog. it only goes to COdE 10 and finally goes to "COdE E" and stopped. I believe there must be something wrong with the internal computer system. I checked my manual. But there is no info. I tried my best to fix it myselt, but in vain. I had great experience with you in the past. Therefore, again, I ask you experts for a favor for this problem. Thanks.

Hi Allen,

When the battery or memory power supply to the radio is disconnected, the radio would be locked and you need the anti-theft code to activate it.

Usually the code would come with a card attached to the owners manual.

When Code E occurs, you have attempted to activate the radio more than the specified number of times and the radio is now locked.

You need to remove the radio back-up fuse in underhood fuse box for 20 minutes or more to unlock the code input. After reinstalling the fuse, you would have to key in the code accordingly and the radio should turn on.

If you do not have the code, you would have to call the dealer to get it.
