I bought this Used 2002 CRV, I had to change the lower control arm because it was broken in a previous accident . I also changed the entire right axle .However from I bought this car I recognize that If I am moving off from a halt I will hear this grinding growling sound coming from the right wheel , this happens if you are going up an incline or on a rough surface or pulling out at an intersection ,contrary it runs beautiful on the highway with absolutely no noise coming from the axle. some one told me the sound is coming from the tranny because it is an all wheel drive car and that is where the problem lies.

I really seek your assistance

CV joints will click going around corners when they go bad, Beasrings will growl but usually all the time from 35 mph, if it's the hub bearing at the wheel, it would be load on slight right steering or straight ahead, and quite down on slight left steer. If it's in the differential, it can make noise on coasting or climbing. When it starts to make noise, put it in neutral, if it quites down, it could be a bad carrier bearing, any fluid leak at the point the axle goes into the tranny?

Check your trans. mount it could be torn, when the trans. mount torn it sounds like the trans. is going bad.
