The "D" light is flashing when the car is in motion.

Is this something that should be attened to ASAP?

Yes, it is something that should be checked asap as an error has been detected in the transmission control system.

Get a free scan done at Autozone to retrieve the trouble codes and let me know what it is so we can proceed from there.
