I am experiencing no problems, to my knowledge, and I would like to keep the vehicle another 3 years putting less than 10,000 miles per year on it. Should I replace the timing belt and how much might such a replacement cost?

Hi rkennedy7451,

If your model is the i-VTEC model, it comes with a drive chain. If there is no abnormal rattling noise during start up, you don't have to worry about it.

If it is the B series engine, then you should replace the belts at every recommended 60,000 miles.

I can't provide the cost of replacement, but if it snaps, you might have an astronomical repair bill depending on the situation.
