I've just been told my rear trailing arm bushings are torn and need to be replaced which will also require all wheels to be aligned afterward, which I just had done when I got new tires? How serious is this problem and how quickly does it have to be done since I've been driving it unaware of the problem it does not seem too urgent. Thanks for your help.

It is not that urgent, however worn trailing arm bushings will promote greater tire wear and suspension wear. So the sooner you get it done, the better.
