I just got a quote from the dealer to replace the front brakes and rotors for $435.

The car has 190,000 miles on it.

This seems high and a lot of money to spend on a car that is 15 years old.

Anybody have any expereince with replacing both and what the cost was?

Thank you!

it does seem high. What type of brake pads are they putting on? Have you considered shopping around a little bit more? Rotors might be around $30 a piece and pads up to $100 depending on what you put in. That is a lot of labor or a high labor charge. Look at it closer for getting another bid or quote.

I got a quote from Midas for $330.00 which gave me some ammunition to get them to give me a discount.
Thanks for the replying.
