my gas tank door won't open

2004 honda civic hybrid 18000 miles manual transmission. When i push the lever down to open the gas tank, nothing happens. Please help?

You may have to find a way to open it by hand. Sometimes access to the cable that opens the door is available through the trunk. Ensure that the cable is not broken. Sometimes the latch itself pops off needs to be replaced. Wouldn't that be covered by warranty yet?
