The engine light came on in 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. I took it to the dealer, who did some testing, told me it was a dual set oxygen sensors that needed to be replaced. $700. My car is running fine. Is this worth doing?

car will not move in any forward gears, it does move in reverse but makes light grinding noise while in reverse. it makes no noise at all in any forward gears. check engine light is on and codes are p0700 and p1885.. ?? note, i bought the car in this condition.

Both codes deal with transmission issues. You need to have it tested by a trans tech,

check engine light is flashing rapidly and car bogs down, but rpm's race to 5000 going 60 mph. Its almost like its in low gear. This car is on its 3rd battery, and runs well other than this. Thank you for your time and thoughts on this matter.

If the check engine light is on, take it into a auto parts store. These places will generally tell you what the code the computer is throwing and what is wrong.

first, what is the code number??? a code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system.

lets do the diag before jumping to any conclusion.
