Front Passenger side shakes when brakes are applied

Honda Civic, LX 2003 automatic 120,000 miles.
When I apply my brakes with light pressure, the pedal shakes and the entire front right side of my car shakes. What is the problem?

Check for any play in the wheel bearings or steering components. The likley cause however is probably warped brake rotors.
